What is AIR
AIRE stands for Anagrafe degli Italiani Residenti all’Estero: the registry of Italian citizens living outside Italy. The registration and updating of data allows the Consulate and the Commune to maintain the citizen's anagraphic position correct.
Marital status update
The Italian citizen residing abroad must communicate changes in marital status so that they can be transcribed in Italy. This includes births, marriages, civil unions, divorces, deaths and other relevant acts.
Peruvian acts that must be translated
Depending on the procedure, birth or marriage certificates, divorce decrees or documents, and death certificates may be required. We translate the complete file into Italian in accordance with consular instructions.
AIR and Fast It
The Italian Embassy in Lima recommends using Fast It for registration in the AIRE, communication of changes of address and consultation of the registration form. Some civil status procedures can also be managed through the enabled digital channels.
First, regularize the pending acts
If a birth, marriage or divorce does not yet appear on the consular record, it may be necessary to request a transcript first. The Embassy indicates that acts of family members not yet transcribed must be regularized before completing certain AIRE applications.
