For Italian citizens, the European certificate can inform about convictions pronounced by judicial authorities of other Member States of the European Union and transmitted through the ECRIS system.
Certificate or information with legal value
The Italian authority distinguishes between the certificate of the European casellario giudiziale and information with legal value, depending on nationality and available data. The issuing office determines the appropriate document.
Application in Italy or from abroad
It can be requested through the channels indicated by the Ministry of Justice and the Italian prosecutor's offices. From another country, the specific instructions for applications from abroad must be followed.
Presentation in Peru
Confirm in advance whether the Peruvian entity requests the ordinary Italian certificate, the European certificate, the carichi pendenti or a combination, in addition to the corresponding apostille and translation.
The visa is not a certificate
Italy also allows you to request a view of the casellario inscriptions. It is used to know the registered data, but it lacks certification effectiveness and normally does not replace a certificate for administrative purposes.
