Why should it be transcribed?
The Italian citizen who marries in Peru must request a transcription of the record to keep his/her civil status in Italy and his/her consular position updated.
Peruvian marriage certificate
The original document issued by the competent Peruvian authority is presented. Before starting, check that names, surnames, dates, places of birth and spouse information are correct.
Apostille and translation
The document must comply with the formalities indicated by the Embassy, including the apostille and translation into Italian by a sworn public translator or certified collegiate translator.
Data of both spouses
The file may include identity documents, personal file and data from the reference Italian Commune. If there are errors or differences, it is advisable to resolve them before submitting the application.
Presentation and current requirements
The consular office sends the documentation to the competent Commune for transcription. Always check the form, the appointment method and the current official list.
