If the spouse is divorced
To request the Nulla Osta, the original marriage certificate with the annotation of the divorce, apostilled and issued within the period indicated by the consulate, is normally presented.
Resolutions and sentences
Depending on how the divorce was processed and what the authority requests, the court ruling, the notarial act or the municipal resolution may be required, along with proof of finality.
If the spouse is widowed
The certificate of the previous marriage and the death certificate of the spouse can be requested. The competent office determines the validity, apostilles and complementary documents.
